Beyond Beef Burger

Okay, I'm obsessed with burgers. They're my guilty pleasure and I indulge in one weekly. I mean, who doesn't love a cheeseburger?!

The Beyond Meat brand produces plant based meat replacements that bring you closer to beef than any other vegan brand in my opinion. Currently, you can only find these particular Beyond Beef burgers in Whole Foods; but, if you have one nearby it is definitely worth the trip. If you haven't tested out the brand I encourage you to go get your life and try it out. It has certainly been an aid in my transition to veganism.

I topped this double cheeseburger off with a few slices of Sweet Earth Bacon and chowed down.

What you need:

1 Beyond Beef patty, halved | Vegan Bacon Slices | Sliced Onion | Sliced Tomato | Lettuce | Vegan Cheddar Slices | Vegan Mayo | Buns

Cut one of your patties in half and press them out into thin burgers. I seasoned each side with salt and pepper. Grill each burger on the stove in a little olive oil or coconut oil over medium heat. Grill first side for 3 minutes prior to flipping. Next, flip and lay down a slice of cheese on each patty. Cover and cook an additional 3-5 minutes.

While cooking, slice your veggies and arrange your bun as desired. Begin building your first layer and remove burgers from skillet. Fry your bacon and onions in the same skillet you prepared your patties in. Keep onions on heat until slightly opaque. Fry bacon until crispy. Remove from heat and assemble remaining layer.

Serve with chips or fries.
